A group of women who were friends at school all receive notes from a swami predicting that they will die each at a different time. After several of the women die, one them (Irene Dunne) goes to the police and they start investigating the mystic and the woman (Myrna Loy) who supported him. This has been considered to be the precusor of the later slasher genre of films.
