Comment/Synopsis

Ten years after graduating from school, three friends meet up again as their lives intersect with but with dire consequences for one of them. Joan Blondell is the rebel who end up in reform school but turns over a new leaf and becomes a show girl. Bette Davis is te academis with a steady job. Ann Dvorak married a rich lawyer and has a child. However she is bored with life and her husband so goes off with the child and takes up with a low life which has consequences for all of them. There is a good contract between Ann Dvoark with a life spiralling down and Joan Blondell on the up as she ends up marrying Ann Dvorak's husband after their divorce. Bette Davis is a comparatively small role and Humphrey Bogart is a minor thug.
