The husband of a newly married woman (Mary Beth Hughes) is killed in World War 2 leaving her with debts and a failing timber business. His best friend (Richard Allen) from the air force arrives to visit her and helps her get the timber business back on track despite attempts from unscrupulous men to stop them. The plot with its mix of action and romance is nothing special and the characters not very convincing.
