A taxi driver (Russell Hayden) needs $300 to buy a gas station, he comes up with schemes to raise the money meanwhile his girlfriend (Anita Louise) takes a modelling job where her boss expects her to do more than model. There is a background of social comment as he wants to be his own boss but gets opposition from his fellow taxi drivers and she is caught between love, a job and being used by a man. Anita Louise has a relatively small part and gave better performances earlier in her career.
