A woman (Shirley Grey) is in love with a doctor (Leon AMes) and just when she thinks they will get married, his family send him away and marry him off to wealthy and to them more suitable woman. On the rebound she meets and marries a bubblegum salesman (Jack Oakie). When she is injured in a acident her husbands gets the doctor to operate on her. She then has to choose between the two men. The role is unusual for Jack Oakie as this more of a straight dramatic role, though the central character is Shirley Grey
