A woman with no job throws a brick through a shop window and the policeman takes pitty on her takes her in and helps her get a job in the follies. She is in love with her but he is indifferent to her so she takes up with an unsavoury character. Trouble comes when he is shot dead and the policeman has to arrst her for his murder, only she is innocent of the murder. This is a slightly curious mix of crime drama and low key romance.
