Career / Biography

Nancy Meyers is a successful director, producer and writer. She started as a production assistant and writing scripts. Her major script was Private Benjamin. She produced several successful films in the late 1980's and early 1990's. The first film she directed was Parent Trap. In What Women Want a man is able to hear the thoughts of women, despite the contrived plot it is a good comedy. Something's Gotta Give was written with Jack Nicholson in mind. One of the things that Nancy Meyers does is having actors are more mature in age, she also uses conversation as one of her central ideas. She followed this with the Holiday which has become a Christmas classic, that is two stories that end up being intertwined. It's Complicated is about a divorced couple who meet back up again and rekindle their feelings. In The Intern a retired business man becomes an intern for an online company and ends up mentoring it's female CEO.
