An American couple with four sons employ a French nanny (Ingrid Bergman) and all goes well unti the wife (Fay Wray) dies and the stock market crashes. She is sent back to France but later returns when the boys are older and one is married to a gold digging woman (Susan Hayward). This is a good drama from actors early in their careers. Ingrid bergman is good as the nanny who becomes part of the family and involved in their relationships. There are good scenes in the latter half of the film between Ingrid Bergman and Susan Hayward.
