When an old sea captain (Walter Brennan) returns from a long cruise he finds his family and business turned upside down by the in-laws (Georgina Caine) of one of his daughters (Phyllis Berry). In order to regain control he takes them all on a cruise, assisted by the boyfriend (Lyle Talbot) of his other daughter (Mary Brian), and maroons them on an uninhabited island where they learn about themselves and each other. The film is let down by a thin plot and an indifferent script.
