The first manned mission to Mars is presumed lost but when the spaceship appears only 2 of the crew are alive. One has an infection and the other is so traumatised she blanks her memory. She is persuaded to recall the events on Mars. The plot is typical of low budget sci-fi films from the 1950's and is interesting for the slightly surreal red scenes on Mars, though the monsters are very poor.
