Frankenstein's monster arrives in 1930'a America and gets a doctor to reanimate a corpse to be his bride but her brain is strnagely partly inhabited by Mary Shelley. Whilst some of the scenes are visually impressive the problem with the film is the inconsistencies of the plot and a film that mixes too many genre of film. It attempts to blend horror, musical, feminism, buddy and crime, whilst almost becoming Bonnie and Clyde in places. There is a good performance from Jessie Buckley as The Bride and small but good understated performance from Penelope Cruz.
