After his friend is murdered a pilot (Alan Ladd) flying out of Calcutta investigates and uncovers a smuggling gang. He gets suspicious when he discovers that his friend has a brought his gilfreind (Gail Russell) and expensive necklace that he could not afford. Alan Ladd is suitably macho in the lead and there is good support from Gail Russell as the femme fatal caught up in the crime and June Duprez as the attractive nightclub singer having an affair with Alan Ladd.
