With the world about to come to an end a group of scientists build an underground city that is locked for 200 years. However the box containing the instructions on how to exit the city after that time is lost. The city is decaying and the generator that powers the city keeps failing ahilst the mayor (Bill Murray) is stock piling food whilst the people are starving. A young woman (Saorise Ronan) finds the box and she and her friend (Harry Treadaway) try to find the exit from the city. The basic idea of the film is OK but the plot is too thin, the characters lack any depth and there are no real twista in the story. The drection seems to stiffle the acting which means the actor do not give their best performances.
