Fred Astaire and Joan Fontaine meet by accident and fall in love. He is an American actor and she is a British heiress, but the path to love is problematical. The plot is based on P G Wodehouse story and some of his wit shows through in the banter between Gracie Allen and George Burns. This was Fred Astaire's first musical without Ginger Rogers and has limited dance numbers as Joan Fontaine was not a dancer. However it is worth watching the film for the routine at the funfair (Fun House) danced by Fred Astaire, Gracie Allen and George Burns. Joan Fontaine has one dance with Fred Astaire in this her first major starring role.
