Comment/Synopsis
A female con artist operating in New York in the late 1890s reinvents herself as a French woman to keep the police off her back and then gets involved in the competition to be mayor. This basically a vehicle for Mae West, her costumes and her one liners. However by this time the censors prevented a lot of the inuendo that made her famous reducing the comic parts of the film. Although visually good, it is not the best of her films.
