Sherlock Holmes (Peter Cushing) and Dr Watson (Andre Morell) are called in to protect the new Sir Baskerville (Christopher Lee) after the previous one died in mysterious circumstances, but may have been due to the hound of legend that supposedly killed one of their ancestors. This is Hammer Film's version of the book, which is suiably foreboding and has the usual sets and forrests. There are typcally good performances from Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee in the first colour veriosn of the story.
