Comment/Synopsis

Whilst Paris is under seige, a poet and thief (Ronald Colman), kills a traitor to the king and gets promoted to be in chage of the guard and falls in love with the queen's maid (Frances Dee). This is one of Basil Rathbone's best performances as the king and earned him an Oscar nomination. There is also a good performance from Ronald Colman.
