A hotel telephonist (Joan Blondell) get fired after innocently getting involved with a criminal and then her boyfriend (Pat O'brien) unwittingly gets her into more trouble with the criminal and the police. This is a light crime drama with a bit of comedy and romance. There is a good performance from Joan Blondell. The pace is fast, though the dialogue is not the best. A lot revolves around old fashoned manuel telephone exchanges so has not stood the test of time well.
