A woman (Anna Neagle) and her daughter (Janette Scott) trying to save their classical music busness meet an upcoming crooner (Frankie Vaughn) with very different musical taste. The plot is not great and neither is the dialogue. This was the last film role from Anna Neagle who has her usual elegance. Frankie Vaughn can sing but not act. Though Janette Scott steals all the scenes she is in and is the highlight of an otherwise drab film.
