A disturbed woman has weird erotic dreams about her neighbour who throws wild parties. In one dream she stabs the woman to death, but then the police find that the woman has actually been killed in the same way as her dream. This is a mix of psychological thriller and eroticism and one of director Lucio Fulci giallo style films. The cinematography is unusual and creative but at the same time effective in creating the atmosphere of the film. Florinda Balkan gives a good performance as the woman for whom reality and dreams merge and become confused. The scene where dogs were being experimented on got the producers accused of animal cruelty and they had to prove that they were actually props. The music was composed by Ennio Morricone.
