A French woman (Ketti Gallian) is kidnapped onto a boat and then abandoned at the Panama Canal. There she becomes a night club singer and in an attempt to get back to France she gets involved with men from Britain (Spencer Tracy), America, and Japan who in turn are attempting to stop a plot to blow up the canal.
