An up and coming doctor (Clark Gable) is caught between his heavy work load and spending time with his girlfriend (Myrna Loy). When they have an argument over this he has a one night stand with a nurse (Elizabeth Allan) who gets pregnant, making his life even more complicated. This is basically a hospital melodrama as Clark Gable is being forced to choose between his career and his girlfriend.
