Comment/Synopsis
A gambler (Richard Barthelmess) is in love with the daughter (Ann Dvorak) of a gangster. Whilst trying to avoid being shot he enters the house of an elderly woman (Helen Lowell) who tells her story of lost love when she was young (Helen Chandler) and comes to his rescue when he is wrongfully accused of murder. Whilst this is basically a gangster film, it is more about love as a part of the film is the story of the old woman losing her first love and how she wants him to not lose his love.
