A television screenwriter (Owen Wilson) is trying to write his first novel and goes to Paris with his fiance (Rachel McAdams) and his in-laws. Whilst there at midnight each night he goes back in time and meets a range of writers, painters and philosophers. Owen Wilson has variosu philosophical discussions and along the way falls for Marion Cotillard in the 1920's. This is a well crafted story from Woody Allen who wrote and directed the film.
