A scientist has discovered a new explosive and he and a sample need to be flown to New York. The pilot (Lyle Talbot) is attacked just before he is due to fly and his place is taken by another pilot and his girlfriends (Ann Dvorak) brother. When the plane explodes in mid-air, he joins in the investigation to find out what happened. There are two flying scenes, but the rest of the film takes place on the ground with some very staid acting, though Ann Dvorak does bring some elegance to the kidnapped girl in distress role.
