A womanising actor (Francis Lederer) who is having a clandestine affair with a married woman. They had planned to meet in a cinema but he sits next to and kisses another woman (Ida Lupino) and the event turns into a public scandal as the woman he kissed is the daughter of a wealthy publisher. This is a mix of romantic comedy and satire of the French judicial system. This is disappointing given that it was produced by Mary Pickford and Jesse Lasky and features Ida Lupino.
