Julia Roberts is a law student who writes a paper about a conspiracy that goes all the way to the President of the USA and then finds that her life in danger. She is helped in her expose by Denzel Washington as the newspaper reporter. The performances from both Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington are solid though not inspirational in this competant, though not inspiring interpretation of the novel.
