Comment/Synopsis
Courtney Vance is a pastor of a church that is under threat from a property developer and who is neglecting his wife (Whitney Houston). He prays to God for help and Denzel Washington is sent to help him, but gets distracted from his task by the attractive Whitney Houston. This is not an orriginal plot (The Bishop's Wife), nor does it have great characters, but the musical numbers and the performance from Denzel Washington just about make it worth watching.
