Robin Wright Penn is a princess who is due to marry a king she does not love. She is kidnapped, only to be rescued by a mysterious man who turns out to be her lover who she thought had died. This is a film that is a mix of a whole range of genre from fantasy, to adventure, to fairy tale, to romance to comedy. It was a film that almost defined a new genre and has not dated like many films from the late 1980's.
