James Gandolfini is a steel worker married to dressmaker Susan Sarandon who has three daughters, but throws the families life into confusion when he has an affair with a younger lingerie salesgirl Kate Winslet. This is a curious film that is essentially James Gandolfinin hvaing as affair as a mid-life crisis but with lots of the dialogue taken from songs and films and the characters break into lip-sync songs. The plot is disjointed and th links to the songs contrived, but a strong cast handles the material well. This is in the style earlier Dennis Potter productions.
