Three show girls from different backgrounds and different stages of their careers get involved with different men leading to different consequences. This was Joan Crawford's first credited role. The impressive scenes are those set in the large art deco style appartment where the parties occur. Whilst the film is set against the background of the dancers in a show most of the film is about their relationships and the decisions they make relating to their lives, careers and friendships.
