Fred Asaire is a Russian ballet dancer falls in love with dancer Ginger Rogers and on a boat trip across the atlantic the rumour surfaces that they are secretly married. As always with the Astaire and Gogers films it is the dancing and music that is the high point and not the plot. This film features great dancing from Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers against a backdrop of an George Gershwin score including Shall We Dance and Lets's Call The Whole Thing Off which they sing and dance on roller skates. It also includes the scene where Fred Astaire dances in a white Art Deco ship's engine room.
