The secretary (Claudette Colbert) who effectively runs the business marries her boss (Melvin Douglas) who is the owner of several department stores. When she moves into his house she has to deal with his sister (Katharine Alexander) who is still bitter about the break up of his first marriage and his spoiled brat of a daughter (Edith Fellows). Some of the scenes could not be make today (the step mother spanking the daughter and the drunk butler driving them at high speed through the town), but some of the other scenes are funny making it overall an entertaining romantic comedy.
