Comment/Synopsis

A shy academic (Buster Keaton) gets a letter saying he has inherited a large sum of money, take takes out his saving and decides to live life. He meets a group of actors putting on a musical, and decides to fund it. The problem is the musical is not very good and the letter fake. This is not the best of Buster Keaton films. There are some good scenes, which is not surprising given the quality of the cast, but the script is lacking. This is one of the sound films that Buster Keaton made for MGM, which did make money for MGM.
