A young woman living in the woods is a healer who meets two men building a dam, but when she takes a baby from an abusive family and the child dies she is branded a witch which complicates their relationship.
This film has been critically panned mainly due to the miscasting of Katherine Hepburn as a hillbilly type character that is very against type and the production does have its problems. However despite that it does show Katherine Hepburn ability in a naturalistic style film. THis is one for the fans of Hepburn.
