Comment
A wealthy woman (Katharine Hepburn) asks as a neurosurgen (Montgomery Clift) to come and lobotemise her neice (Elizabeth Taylor) in an attempt to prevent the truth about the death of her son becoming public. This is a very good psychological drama based on a Tenesse Williams play. The central character is played by Elizabeth Taylor in one of her best performances, showing her full acting ability and for which she got an Oscar nomination. Katherine Hepburn is also very good as the scheming woman on the edge of madness and who also got an Oscar nomination.
