During World War 2 a secretary (Gemma Arterton) and her artist husband are living in London during the Blitz. She gets a job writing scripts for propaganda films and then is sent on location to film as uplifing film. There is a very good performance from Gemma Arterton as a woman trying to have a job and career at a time when women were supposed to be at home and not at work. There is a good script, good production values recreating 1940's Britain and fine supporting performances from the rest of the cast.
