Helen Hunt is a teacher who has to come to terms with her husband (Matthew Broderick) leaving her, her adoptive mother dying, her birth mother (Bette Midler) finding her and falling in love with the father (Colin Firth) of one of her students. Whilst this has four major stars, there is nothing in the plot or the characters that raises this above the average.
