When Mrs Hardy (Mae Busch) refuses to cook dinner for Stan and Ollie, Ollie decides to cook, leading to chaos when the lady (Thelma Todd) next door comes to help. Her dress end up on fire so they end up hiding her in a trunk when her husband arrives home. This was the first Laurel and Hardy talkie and so is largely a silent film with some dialogue added, but the beginig of the development of the talking characters.
