An Irish vicar (Stanley Holloway) is taken from his parish to tutor the son of King Charles and manges to keep his head by changing his views through the civil war, the commonwealth and the restoration. This is a stilted film with Stanley Holloway doing his best in the lead, but even he struggles with the script.
