Comment/Synopsis

The US president's plane is hijacked and held hostage, but Harrison Ford, practically, single handed takes on the bad guys, whilst Glenn Close as the vice-president oragnises a rescue. Typical American gung-ho movie with a good performance from Harrison Ford, doing what he does well as the action hero, but it does not rally use Glenn Close's skills. The plot is predictable, however it is well executed, and good for this type of film. Gary Oldman gives a good performance of the Russian terrorist who is suitable as the adversary for Harrison Ford.
