A young Bruce Wayne witnesses's the murder of his parents and then moves to Asia where he trains as a Ninja. He returns to Gotham City to clean it up. Liam Neeson is the highlight of the film as Batman's nemesis and Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman are good as usual. However Christian Bale is less convincing as Batman than some of predecessors and Katie Holmes looks too young and is not convincing for her part. Gary Oldman takes the part of the honest policeman.
