A woman (Lucille Ball) is dumped by her fiance when he falls for a very rich woman (Frieda Inescort) and marries her, so she decides to make a business from the face cream she has been developing, but the only person who will fund it is his new wife. This is a good film of a woman making herself a career and working with other womenwhilst taking a swipe at the cosmetics industry and society. It has Lucille Ball in a non-comedy role and there is good suppport from Inez Courtney as her friend.
