Comment/Synopsis

A con artist (Spencer Tracy) persuades his friend and a young woman (Pat Paterson) they meet to pretend to be British aristocracy as a way of gettting them into the movie business and make her a star. Although there are a several of musical numbers, fortunately Spencer Tracy does not have to sing as he was known not to have a singing voice. This is a light satire on the Hollywood studio system.
