Clint Eastwood is the man with no name who rides into a small Mexican border town that is being fought over by two rival families. This is the first of the trilogy of spaghetti westerns about the man with no name. This is one of the classic western films, that ironically was made by Italian Sergio Leone who knew little about the American West. It is a remake of the Japanese film Yojimbo based on the Dashiell Heammett novel. How the director filmed the shoot outs make this film different from other westerns of the time.
